The Umi Hotel

I stayed at this property a couple of years ago, so chose it again upon my return. I like the location, and really appreciate the terrace area.

This trip the staff seemed very disinterested in providing service and the cleanliness of the hotel had diminished. I would still return in the future, but my expectations have lessened.

Location to the markets and shopping as well as walking street.

If I could give this place a negative number I would.Just because a hotel is just a basic hotel doesn't mean it needs to be dirty and gross.Stained blankets and sheets soaked in urine and hair.Walls stained with blood and filth the place hasn't been cleaned in years.It costs nothing to keep the rooms clean and descent.Spider webs in the corners it was all just so overwhelming.

Great location that was easy to navigate district 1. Good size room. Reasonably priced during a national holiday.

Balcony door wouldn’t lock. Refrigerator turns off when your room card is removed so you can’t keep food cold. Beds were extremely solid

The location is good, the staff was polite and the price was very satisfactory.

I wouldn't say the room was in great condition, I was mainly bothered by the fact that there were some mosquitoes and some other insects. I went to the reception and they told me that they didn't have another room available and that they would clean the room the next morning.

It is a bit far from Ben Thanh market, but still walkable. And, the comfort room is kinda small than what I expected

Check in was terrible. Didn't get into room until 4pm. Then the elevator was out of action. Room was not the nicest. Bathroom shower has no curtain or screen so you shower in the middle of the bathroom! Room was clean and did have nice balcony.

The staff were wonderful, specially Nhung, she gave some good tips for restaurants around and beyond. Housekeeping is excellent, clean and fully supplied. The view from the room is exceptional it's hard to find a location with trees surrounding in the city.

The surrounding streets are quite dirty But it is like that everywhere in ho chi minh city.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Cleaning of the room every day if wanted. Great location for exploring the city, but sleep in a more quiet side street.

We booked this hotel as it was cheap. The staff were very kind and helpful. Close to many things so we could walk.

The rooms are very small and there was small bugs in the room. The shower had only cold water.

Great location, close to most of the attractions and shopping in district one, around 10 to 20 mins walk on average depending where you want to go. We rarely took taxi. Staff were also friendly as well, and the reception speaks English.

There were some minor inconveniences like random trails of ants in some corners and I found a footprint on the wall and a black mark on the bed. For the standard room, there's no chair and it is rather small. However if you're not peculiar about such things then this hotel good for the location and friendly staff.
